Oqliq - Origami Smawarm Kimono Jacket - Black

Taiwanese brand Oqliq are on a path for big things, still relatively underground in the UK (which is a good thing) their product is some of the most interesting and boundary pushing around.

This Kimono style insulated jacket is a perfect example of their boundary pushing style. The insulating material inside the jacket is made from ceramic fibres that are derived from recycled oyster shells making it one of the most sustainable insulating materials around whilst the ceramic fibres reflect heat at a high level helping keep you warmer than other man made materials. The outer fabric is no slouch either a water repellent nylon fabric thats been bonded using a sophisticated method that also creates a unique pattern across the jacket. 

The shape of the jacket is relatively simple and classic compared to the technicality of the materials. A classic Kimono shape with tie fastener, loose oversized shape and simple pockets. Impressive stuff from Oqliq.
