Aiguille Alpine Equipment Exclusive Collection

There aren't too many brands that have stayed as true to their origins as Aiguille Alpine Equipment. 

Established in 1987 by Adrian Moore who had been making outdoor gear for himself and his friends since the early 70s’. It's a classic story of a passionate hobby, too little money and a creative mind that meant Adrian's skills were soon in demand for all manner of outdoor equipment and Aiguille Alpine was soon the "go to" company for everything from weekend adventures through to polar expeditions. 

Fast forward 30 years or so and Aiguille Alpine Equipment is still going strong hand making proper outdoor equipment from their home in the heart of the Lake District. The authentic, classic styling of their products has a timeless appeal but at the heart of the brand is their commitment to quality and also to UK based manufacture.

It would have been easy by now for Adrian to have outsourced production to some Far East country and cut costs but potentially have relinquished some quality in return, but this has never been the Aiguille way.

Every product is cut and sewn by hand by a small but talented team who are truly passionate about the products they make. Sustainability is a hot topic right now that it seems every brand wants a piece of but Aiguille Alpine Equipment has been providing its own form of sustainability for years offering free repairs on any of their products should you (unlikely) ever need it.

Last time I was in the shop there was a guy bringing in a 25 year old backpack for a small repair. The job was done in a few minutes and both he and the backpack were back on their way into the Lake District. Perhaps for another 25 years of use, now that's true sustainability.
