Comfy Outdoor Garment Rain Falls Poncho
Poncho's, fantastic at keeping out a deluge of rain but notoriously annoying to use. Usually not much more than a large sheet of plastic with a hole cut in it, they're often great in principle but not in practice and have therefore been reduced to a last resort at festivals and concerts the world over.
Well, Forward thinking Japanese Outdoor Clothing brand Comfy Outdoor Garment have only gone and produced a Poncho that has us scratching our heads and wondering why someone hasn't just done it before. But then not everyone has the creative and inherently problem solving mind of the Japanese Outdoor Brand's owner and designer Makoto. He got frustrated with the traditional Poncho's limitations and in a genius piece of simplicity.
He, well, err, he put a zip in it. Yup, that's it, simple eh? The same oversized, water protection of a traditional Poncho but with the ease of use of a jacket.
He didn't stop there though, the Rain Falls Poncho has been made using a specially developed Teflon coated fabric that repels water by the bucket load. This ingenious coating means the poncho remains light and breathable (unlike traditional Ponchos) but still retains its water shedding qualities. It also features some pretty special oversized pockets with waterproof zips and oh yeah, did we mention it also packs into one of those pockets? No, well it does.
So, all in all Comfy Outdoor Garment have only gone and made us and many others MASSIVE fans of the Poncho.
