Meanswhile - Desert Cloth Neutral Hooded Blouson - Off Black
Taking cues from cold-weather military outerwear, this hooded shirt jacket from Meanswhile synthesises structural details from various vintage snow parkas into a lightweight, technical daily shell.
The piece builds dimensional character through layered utility, featuring an oversized storm fly front, reinforced shoulder paneling, and articulated elbow patches. Despite its rugged heritage lines, the jacket is engineered to feel weightless on the body. A back waist draw-tape allows you to cinch or release the voluminous, military-inspired silhouette, while wide cuffs with three-stage snap adjusters offer flexible wrist closure.
The technical secret lies in the custom fabric: constructed using hollow-core threads that trap air for extreme weight reduction, combined with loop-bound Taslan weft yarns for added bulk, breathability, and a dry, natural drape. Double-kneaded before and after dyeing, the high-density textile mimics the crisp, textured hand of heavy linen while supplying essential water-repellent performance.
