A Guide to CMF Comfy Outdoor Garment’s Down Jackets

To me, a trusty down jacket is the archetypal clothing style that, if you invest wisely, will look after you when the temperature drops and sometimes when the heavens open.
No stranger to This Thing of Ours, Comfy Outdoor Garment is well-versed when it comes to designing down outerwear on all levels, whether it be in an operational capacity where you’re moving around or you need something bombproof that is both warm and waterproof. For Autumn/Winter ‘22, CMF has you covered for any eventuality.
- Puff Down Hoodie (This Thing of Ours Exclusive Colourway)
Functioning as an active insulating layer, the Puff Down Hoodie can be optimally used in cooler conditions, like those we typically have in Autumn, or during periods of movement where the body is keeping its natural temperature steady. Utilising a lofty 800 fil-power down as the source of insulation, the exterior matches the inner protection by using a water-repellent polyester material. The jacket features a lower wrap-around pocket system consisting of four compartments that are easily accessible at a moment's notice. Other nuances include a two-way zipper and an interior pocket.
This Thing of Ours will carry three colourways of this style including the exclusive Green/Beige, Black and Mocha.
- CMF Down Jacket
Perhaps Comfy Outdoor Garment’s most iconic silhouette, the CMF Down Jacket features very distinctive diamond quilted stitching all over. Aesthetics aside, though, the jacket doesn’t compromise when it comes to functionality incorporating a similar grade of insulation as the Puff Down Hoodie - 800 fil-power - yet upping the ante when it comes to the exterior composition in the form of a 100 denier water-repellent polyester that is set to keep you warm whilst out and about in metropolitan settings. Adhering to somewhat of a more subdued look, you will find two snap closure pockets on the front, a dual zipper and cord adjusters on the hood for a locked-in fit.
The CMF Down Jacket will be available in four colourways, including Black, ‘Graige’, Mocha and Orange.
- Coexist Guide Down Jacket L7
CMF was not playing around when it came to designing this bombproof piece of outerwear - the Coexist Guide Down Jacket L7 - that couples waterproofing and insulating warmth. Utilising its proprietary ‘Coexist’ technology, the jacket boasts an impressive breathability factor of 20,000g/m² and a waterproof rating of 20,000mm which is top of the range where outerwear is concerned. In case we forgot to mention, it incorporates a similar 800 fil-power grade tube insulation that retains its shape even after repeated wear. In short, it does everything you need it to do when the temperatures plummet and it starts bucketing down. Despite being the most technical in the lineup, it doesn’t end there with a number of pockets on the front that are within reach, all protected using Aquaguard zippers.
This monster of a jacket will be available in CMF’s customary ‘Graige’ colourway.
