Exclusive Collaboration with Longshot Experiment

You get to meet a lot of people in retail and even some pretty cool people on a regular basis. Every now again though you get introduced to a real gem. We've been lucky enough to be supported by a few on our journey over the last few months. The guys at Proper Mag being standouts and it was on a visit to one of their Hikerdelic events that I was introduced to Mike from the Longshot Experiment. 

Mike hand makes some pretty awesome hats from his home studio in Trafford, Manchester. Initially driven by a desire to recreate a long lost and well loved bucket hat that he just simply couldn't find from any existing brands, he decided to create his own and the Longshot Experiment was born.

I was already aware of Mike's work from instagram but over this chance introduction we recognised our shared interests in the love of good design and a good hip hop beat, but more importantly in quality craftsmanship and supporting small business.

We pretty much decided that we would work together on something straight away and so our exclusive Longshot Experiment hat project was born. I'd rather let the hats speak for themselves but Mike & I have selected what we feel is some of the finest Brisbane Moss 5 Wale Cord in colours that regular visitors to This Thing Of Ours will recognise as favourites of the store. 

I couldn't be happier with the result, The Hats are awesome and through the process I got to meet a cracking bloke. I'm sure we will do more projects going forward so check out the hats before they're gone.
