New Brand: ROA Apparel and Footwear Autumn/Winter ‘22 at This Thing of Ours

Marking a first for the Manchester-based retailer, ROA will join the brand roster in the Autumn/Winter ‘22 season offering both apparel and footwear, the former of which was initially previewed earlier in the year. Renowned for its expertly crafted hiking-inspired footwear, ROA seeks to apply the same methodology to its apparel line.
Teased during Milan Fashion Week 2022, ROA’s foray into apparel may have come as a surprise to some, but with the relatively recent appointment of Patrick Stangbye as Creative Director, it seemed like the next evolution for the Italian brand. At first glance, the direction of their apparel line is consistent with their footwear as you’d expect, balancing both form and function with an emphasis on craftsmanship and high-quality materials.
Upon its unveiling, the apparel selection caused quite a stir as it referenced the latest innovations in the worlds of sportswear and outdoors-wear. Building on the prior statement, two-tone knitwear sits alongside an oversized insulated down jacket, covering the base for function-forward yet aesthetically pleasing garments. Overall, though, the selection at This Thing of Ours includes the high-pile fleece jacket, neckwarmer, caps and bags - as well as those mentioned earlier. As you would expect, the garments come finished with precision thanks to details like hidden zipper pockets, ROA branding and adjustable hoods that elevate them to a higher plane.
In addition to the apparel, This Thing of Ours will be the recipient of many footwear styles that derive inspiration from hiking and trail running shoes. As a result, we see deep-lugged Vibram soles and metal eyelets meeting the highest of quality materials with matching craftsmanship. Some of the footwear styles coming in include the Andreas Strap, Lhakpa, Katharina and Minaar.
Stay tuned for further updates pertaining to the release of ROA’s Apparel/Footwear Autumn/Winter ‘22 collection.
